Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
